Yo Larry,
Love the show. Great game yesterday, and great victory for our beloved Bears. I won't beat around the bush here - everybody knows who gets Bear Ups this week: Cutler, Knox, Briggs, Brown, Harris, etc.
I wanna shout out one particular Bear Down though; this is one that's been bothering me for a while. Whoever is responsible for giving Lovie Smith "recommendations" on whether to throw a challenge flag... I don't know if there's a Bears employee who sits up in the magical Booth watching through binoculars, or if he's watching taped replays, or if it's Lovie himself who just calls 'em as he sees 'em. I knew it was bad, but I never realized just HOW bad this has been until the announcers told us the stats. Lovie has now thrown 47 challange flags, and he has only ever succeeded on 16 of those challenges. That's just a smidgen above 1 in 3, fer chrissakes (34%). We've got to do better than that.
My only other Bear Down of note would be the person/people who are doing the offensive playcalling. Even when the Bears were up by two TDs, and after Forte had broken those two big runs, we were still chuckin' the ball down the field. This is just my personal take, but I really think Cutler dislikes handing the ball off... Just sayin'.
I don't want to turn this into a long-winded McCubby-style monologue, so I'll stop here and just say that I'm lovin' the show, enjoy your break this coming weekend, and GO BEARS!
